IDEA BANK

Entech's idea bank contains everything from sketches on napkins to detailed business plans. Regardless of origin, all ideas are subject to a simple evaluation process called the POEM (Product Opportunity Evaluation Matrix).

To propel an idea to the feasibility phase, it must score above a pre-set threshold in the POEM. Ideas falling short are sent back to the idea bank to mature. Changes in the market or synergies with new concepts may justify re-evaluation. 

Entech welcomes anyone to contribute new ideas or pose challenging problems that need solutions. Contributors gain access to feasibility results and technology.

FEASIBILITY STUDY

Passing the POEM decision gate, the idea is awarded project resources to execute technical and commercial studies.

The technical study incorporates IP evaluation and creation, FTO analysis, conceptual models and de-risking activities like computational simulations, FMEA and methodical design reviews.

The objective of the commercial study is to quantify market potential and risk. Top-down analysis characterizes the full market potential based on public information and market intel. Bottom-up analysis involves direct customer engagement to substantiate opportunities and gather technical requirements.

Strategic partnerships are established when necessary to support an effective product-to-market strategy.

DEVELOPMENT

Product development is the most exciting phase where we design, prototype and quality check the products.

Every engineering firm has experienced the frustration of prototype failures, which sends the engineers back to the drawing board and often results in project cost and time overruns.

Entech has demonstrated that effective technical studies and design methodology can repeatedly deliver first-time success. Our project team successfully designed, fabricated and tested three different product prototypes in our first three months of operation.
